I had a realization a few days ago that talking to my MH once a week (per the workbook) wasn’t enough. What LOVER would I only want to talk to once a week? I had the realization, apologized profusely to my MH and I’ve decided that since my flesh-and-blood boyfriend wants little to do with my chatter about my business, I would spend time with my MH over my business. If a penny on the sidewalk is a chocolate on my pillow, then working on my website together must be like a romantic candlelit dinner. It helps that I have someone to talk it over with, who will say “No no, don’t say that — say this!” and it feels much more connecting than to just ask my MH what I can do for him this week or even today. I’m ready to listen, I’m fine with asking, but I would not have a lover where I just asked what they wanted but never really spent time with them. I’d be on the phone with them, reaching out to touch them, sitting in companionable silence, and sometimes apart so that the reunions are sweet with longing.
So I’m excited about spending more time, every day, even “at work” with my MH.
