I never have told anyone I was a survivor of such and such because that puts me in a slot I do not wish to be in. I do sometimes tell people as I proudly stand in front of them that following an accident my relatives were pushed to put me in a nursing home because doctors knew I would never be able to walk or look after my 2 children let alone myself, because the look on their face makes me smile. It took 5 months, but I walked out of the hospital and while being a single Mom and working with limitations was not easy, I so enjoyed dancing at both my children's weddings. And now I like being in the newbie small business owner slot better. I have your workbook. While I listen to a marketing person tell me the challenges in selling my new guided meditation CD without my being a big name person and having no money for advertising, I keep my focus on your workbook and the number I know somehow I will sell to cover somes serious bills right now. I'm not yet totally hearing my MH, but since he looks like Christoper Reeve in 'Somewhere in Time' I so enjoy his company. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and reminding me it was my belief in me and getting up after a lots of falls that allowed me to learn to walk again, not just a wish and a pray. There are well researched psychological benefits to regarding past circumstances as positive miracles and for feeling lucky in general (as if miracles happen to you all the time). When I was 9 my mum was in hospital for most of that spring and summer. I cried and prayed every day and night for her to come home. By the time she finally did, I'd experienced for too long the inefficacy of those prayers. Of course there was no action I could take that would make a difference. The situation was outside of my control. In financial terms and, as an adult, yes it's different - but I wonder if the legacy from those early years of feeling I could not effect change still lies with me now in some ways. (Maybe you had a bad experience with Sunday School so you started praying to money instead of God ;-) When we talk to money (or anything) and receive wisdom and guidance, isn't it the wisdom of Source coming through?
