Love Fest

I love Starbucks. Wireless internet for $6 a day (that’s $4 american), and they have Splenda! The rest of Sydney is still doing the pink packets. Ick. And they know better than to use aspartame…

I just met an awesome coach. I was going to film us but I forgot. Katrina and I will do an interview together, and you can meet her then. In the meanwhile I learned to make my goals much bigger and more specific, and to go to a Tony Robbins event next chance I get.

Today was supposed to be my beach day. It’s been overcast since this morning. Too bad I was doing museums all weekend. Ah well.

I’m cutting back on the shopping. Money asked me to keep a log on my spending.

I’ve extended my trip a week. This is going to be a REAL vacation.

I’ve been having a helluva time with my phone, but not in a good way. It took an hour for the phone peeps to install my new SIM card, and another day for me to figure out how to dial the U.S. (00111 + phone number)… now if I could only figure out how to turn up the volume. Looks like I’m gonna be using Skype for a while. Who knows? If that works I might stay here indefinitely and coach from my computer. I already have my first invite to stay with a lady I met yesterday.

I’m having a fabulous time. I love Australia. I love Paddy’s market. I love my flip camera. I love the people I’m meeting. I love my mini laptop even though typing on it is a paid (literally). I still love Starbucks. Can’t wait for my class to begin Wednesday (still Tuesday for your americans). I love my dad. I miss my cat.

Talk to you later!

From the bottom of the planet

Hi there Alchemists!

I’m down here in Sydney, Australia, and it’s awesome! It’s hot-ish, but not a problem with a stupid “Australia!” tourist hat and a ton of sunscreen. The weather’s a huge problem inland: dozens of people have died from fires and heat exhaustion. It’s horrible. I’m holding off on any inland trips for a week.

When you’re in city, you’ve to go to the Museum of Contemporary Art. It’s fantastic. None of that ugly conceptual stuff that I need my grandmother (with the degree in art) to explain to me. This stuff was easy to understand and nice to look at.

Be sure to visit the aquarium, but skip the wildlife exhibit next door. Unless you like scary bugs an beetles and spiders and snakes. I’m a warm and fuzzy critter kind of gal. They had a few of those, but not enough. By the way, kangaroos are NOT cuddly. They look pretty tough. The wallabies are cuter. And those wombats are adorable.

I filmed some lovely tropical fish to entertain and relax you.

In fact I’ve been filming a ton this trip. It’s my video diary/blog.

Talk to you soon!
